"She helped put my mind at ease."

I was working full-time when the pandemic started in 2020. As things in the world changed, I lost all three of my jobs. I was forced to rely on government assistance. As a single woman, I was struggling to make all my payments. I couldn’t keep up- I was drowning. I thought about bankruptcy but did not want to go that route. After doing some research I decided to contact Karen Johnson at the Cranbrook office to get some financial advice. After meeting with her and going over options, I decided to file for bankruptcy. It was a difficult decision to make. I felt like a loser. How did I get into this situation? The feelings of guilt were real! Karen was kind, there was no judgement. She helped put my mind at ease.  Those 21 months were hard, I really struggled. It was a dark time in my life. Without the guidance from Renee Hubert in the Vernon office, I don’t know how I would have made it. She was very patient with me. She gave good advice on ways to cut my expenses. She was my biggest cheerleader. She assured me I could do it! These two ladies (Karen and Renee) were my lifeline. Their support and encouragement were immeasurable.  Thankfully, I am now discharged. I am working on putting my life back together. I see light at the end of the tunnel. I am starting to release the feelings of guilt and shame. I feel like I have a new lease on life. I have a fresh start! For anyone considering a consumer proposal or bankruptcy, I highly recommend MNP Ltd. They give sound advice and can find the financial solution that works for you.
